The past is in the past ?

When people say "Leave the past in the past" they are either not facing a truth or not taking responsibility for their actions. I am sure that if Hitler was alive today he would have used the same excuse!  We cannot use the excuse of "The past is in the past" to continue to wallow in it but we also cannot ignore the consequences of it either. Face it and heal.
