Mothers in denial about sexual abuse.

Why do so many mothers deny the truth about their children's abuse or at least do nothing about it even if they know it happened?

This is an interesting article I have found on line about the wives/ Partners of perpetrators of sexual abuse.
There are so many questions around why does a woman believe their partner above their child.

I will research more to see what I can find as this issue affected me too.

From what I have read so far it seems some women are also victims of domestic violence while others do not want to face the truth as it would mean they have built their life on a lie. They do not want to face the pain and suffering that will come with being honest about what happened.

Just remember even if an adult did not protect you when they should have does not mean you were not worth protecting.

Every human being has a right to safety and basic human rights.

You were worth protecting ! They let you down.
