The sea is an untamed animal
I sat in the back of the boat,
Watching where we had been.
The sea rising like a dolphin in the wake
And the foam doing its merry dance.
The sea is an untamed animal,
And we are riding on it’s back.
We ride it like a wild horse in a rodeo,
As it roars and tries to push us over the edge.
When the boat is still upon its water,
The sea seems to be more content,
Rocking us like a baby in a cradle
But we do not fall asleep.
Underneath it’s glistening back,
Is a whole other world.
One we only know some of,
One where we could not live.
We come to conquer and pillage,
As blindly we put our lines in.
Catching our prisoners for the eating
But they don’t come with out fighting.
To the sea these are treasures,
It seems to let us have
But we must always show it respect
Because the sea is an untamed animal.
