Broken Limits Poem

Broken limits

As she despairingly sat down,

Her world spinning around in her head,

She who thought she could do all,

Knew she was heading for a fall.

Knowing she had broken the limits again,

But she was sick of limitations,

They to her were a dirty word.

She fought hard to keep up,

Now the only fight left,

Was to try to stay awake.

Dozing off to the land of despair,

Releasing all the monsters that had been locked up.

Once again they did their merry dance inside her head,

Chanting obscenities over and over again.

Gradually they faded as she sank into sleep,

Her subconscious world sighing in relief as it let go.

As it put out the over loaded trash.

But sleep does not always bring rest.
